This is what the Xmpeg looks like when you first open in up.  Looks a like Flaskmpeg, if you have ever used that, but this has some extra options that I like and it seems to encode a little faster aswell.

 

 
Find your DVD rom and the name of the movie should show up there.  In my case I am doing the movie traffic.
